Horizons Independent School is committed to the fact that ‘Every Child Matters’ and look to engage all students that I support with an educational experience that will last a lifetime.  To ensure that we achieve this, we add a second line of ‘Every Lesson Counts’, and this is the basis of which we are looking to build Horizons Independent School; whichever lesson a student is engaged with provides multiple opportunities for strong and lifelong learning.

 

From the moment students arrive on site, we want the day to become a fully immersive learning experience. We have accomplished a good deal of this with Horizons AP but the possibilities are infinite as to what Independent School Status would be able to achieve.

 

Around the child we are already working to provide the strongest and most experienced teaching team possible.  This will start with a hugely experienced headteacher as the lead.  They will be supported by an equally experience deputy head, SENCO, DSL and teaching team.

The timetable has been structured to afford a range of learning opportunities.  All lessons will have a qualified specialist leading them and at least one teaching assistant to facilitate our ‘stage not age’ approach.
